Badminton in Las Vegas, NV and Henderson, NV

As reported, the much-awaited re-opening of the 3rd floor of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center at UNLV has finally happened. After months of closure due to flood damage, the popular fitness center is now ready to welcome students and staff once again.

The flood, caused by a burst pipe back in August 2024, resulted in significant damage to the 3rd floor, particularly the badminton courts. This left many badminton enthusiasts disappointed and gym-goers searching for alternative workout options.

But now, with the renovation and repair work completed, the 3rd floor of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center is looking better than ever. The badminton courts are back in action, fully equipped and ready to cater to the needs of the UNLV community.

Personnel at Student Recreation and Wellness Center at UNLV has told us today that they are still fixing a damage and are planning to re-open 3rd at the end of winter break (second part of January 2025). 
Wish we had a better news on that. The flood damage was very extensive. 

Hi badminton fans. 

Unfortunately, due to water pipe rapture at Student Recreation and Wellness Center at UNLV, badminton is closed there. We spoke to the personnel at that facility and we have been told  that it will take at least 3-4 weeks before Badminton reopens. Pity!

Great news! In case you have missed it, the facility keeps badminton nets always set for the Summer season.

It's a long wait for all of us. Happy New Year everybody. We've got a note from Kee (Sky) that the work on the 3rd floor was actually delayed due to a shooting. Stay strong.

As for the price increase - it's rather significant. Don't you think?
